Mad Maestro Snoopy & Breakdance Woodstock

This is from a while back when I first stared drawing around late 24’ or early 25’. I started with cartoons- particularly Snoopy, Woodstock, and Garfield before I progressed into human figure drawing. I actually took this image I custom came up with as a product of the 90’s rave scene and incorporated it into the corner my larger multi-toon panel.

My skills at hand art have risen to a bit above ‘amateur’ over the past 18 months, and by no means yet at a professional level- but the drawing is more a therapy for me- I enjoy doing it- but I am already transitioning into digital graphic design with intent on incorporating it into my story telling to bring my world building and characters to life.

If there is anyone out there into 3d animation, Blender monkeys or animators, or even just individuals writing and picturing their story in a cinematic experience. I would love to discuss and connect.

Family Guy

I think I was watching way too many of those “Fishing for cops with doughnuts” videos back when I drew this.

Always felt Family Guy was the absolute best adult swim cartoon and freedom in creative liberties, character development and all around humor.

Canceled after only its second season in 2000, only to catch a last minute renewal.

Cancelled again in 2002 after its then third season, only to return in 2005 again.

Family guy a beautiful beautiful and relentless comeback history in cartoon history.

So totally obnoxious, obscene and offensive. they survived by not offending anyone, because they offend everyone in general.

Who Doesn't Love Snoopy?

Pretty simple drawing here. I have always liked drawing snoopy and the peanuts crew. They are not difficult but i like to add a little extra shadow and shading. I’ve also got my own little signature woodstock through a series of snoopy drawings I’ve done.

I did this for a buddy at an art program I goto who was doing this design on a latch and hook project.

The look better then they get completed and tightened up lol.

It was a fun and fast little collaborative project. I like doing stuff like this - My drawing only took the couple hours, the latch and hook however, lol that’s days worth of work.

These are from reference from a coloring book but freehand in my own sketch books. I used a lot of cartoon drawing to learn humanoid figure drawing, it’s much less noticeable when you make mistakes. One of my turtles is missing an arm lol 🤣 🤣

I had started the other on the right here before I really started taking photos of my work. I started drawing late 2024 and was not confident in my work or thinking I would continue to pursue it.

Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny

This was actually my very first crack at Lola Bunny. I definitely wanted to draw her more true to her original reboot design by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick.

Her first actual appearance was as Honey Bunny back in a 1953 comic, she was actually Bug’s cousin 😠🤣. They reused the name and cycled her though the comics up into the 90’s when Leo and Steve got their hands on the project.

She first appeared in Space Jam in 1996 and immediately sparked some controversy over her appearance. Not like we don’t have Jessica Rabbits or Betty Boops. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

My sketch before I jumped to color:

We can see over time how she has been scaled down and what they call ‘desexualized’.

It’s just a very strange story, Warner Brothers obviously owns the Loony Tunes bunch including Lola. It is one thing to call out for whatever cause or agenda they did this on however, I do recall they just no sooo-far in the past cast Margot Robbie as Barbie.

Did I forget to mention Barbie was actually designed as a hooker?

Barbie was designed based on doll called Bild-Lilli.

What do you think of the rollbacks?

So.. We do that do Lola Bunny, yet, hey Warner signed off on it and Margot Robbie carried it.🤣 :

Yeah, so, however you’d like to pick your moral standards. That’s up to you. It is indeed a good laugh to know those doing the censorship don’t even know what direction they are going. I do, I like drawing the bewbies. better than spending an hour shading and coloring Spiderman’s junk.😝🤣

Came out pretty decent, I tried another I never finished after.

I have this filter I use on an old s8+ i like to play with color hues in. This is great in the design phase so see how it looks in various colors if you want to redo the picture.

Ehh, and the one I never got back to- maybe I’ll finish it up someday.

Who doesn’t love Bugs and Lola and a lil romance piece here and there?

Well…

She is not finished by far but I do like to leave them like that sometimes- gives me almost a workbook of stuff to later complete-

I like doing the throw back comics I grew up with, carrying a certain love for the fem fatales. I have heard rumor Margot Robbie was interested in doing a reboot of Tank Girl herself-

Anyways I feel she is one of the lesser known/remembered characters.

This is a panel I did back in September. It took about 4 days but is still not complete like so many of my projects. This is one thing you will not see on those AI accounts is the actual process of creation and those people will lack the fundamental learning and problem solving skills that come along with doing things by hand and actually studying your subjects.

First time Sponge Bob & Patrick Starfish:

I’d done Bugs and Lola a bunch prior to this, actually some very similiar ones of them with the rose, this however, was my first Minion 🥳

I use a lot of grid format, almost like a doodle grid to do my layouts, but more from an architectural background i find the geometry easier to follow. This panel was 100% free-style by hand.

The top left piece is my signature “Mad Maestro Snoop & Breakdance Woodstock”, I have been working on tightening this little creation into places I can where Snoopy & Woodstock just look sooo cool doing their thing.🤣

I like to take pictures in different stages, especially big pieces like this, kind of show my progression - It’s about 9 months since I did this, just posting these is a good refresh on the process I spent days on. I know the AI can do it in seconds, most won’t kick out your copyrighted characters though- so no fan art for you. 🤣 Plus Jessica Rabbit is a lot of fun to learn on.

I will have a section coming dedicated to Mrs. Rabbit.

This below, is where I left it. I want still to color in the dialogue box so my lettering stands out better, finish my Willie Coyote there in the bottom right strangling his catch. and fill in some of the white negative space I am seeing as I look at it.

Ghost in the Shell

It was i think back around Christmas 2025 I started trying to draw the Major- Motoko Kusanagi.

She is a tribute to this man:

Masanori Ota (太田正典), who writes by the pen name Masamune Shirow (士郎正宗), is a Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror writer out of Osaka Japan University of Arts. He started making comics in 1982 and by 1989 his legacy was sealed with creation of Ghost in the Shell, which is actually called :Mobile Armored Riot Police in Japan and “攻殻機動隊”

This was Masamune Shirow’s May 1989 First Edition Ghost in the Shell.

They have bought Motoko a long way since 1989.

She is due for a reboot,,,

BRING MOTOKO BACK!

I did a few of her, but this one has been my favorite- She is by far not finished,

And… Again always jumping to color probably too fast. What can I say? I see things in color. Plus with Ghost you get to do some cool Red & Purple.

When Motoko initially came out in the initial Ghost in the Shell comic, she initially had red eyes, later they changed that to a more purpley glowy thing.

HAVE YOU SEEN GHOST IN THE SHELL?

They have done several remakes of this since the original anime in 1995, the comic goes back to May of 1989 though for a first release.

In March 2017, Scarlett Johansson got the lead role as Major Motoko Kusanagi who had become a iconic legacy character portrayed as a Japanese girl recruited into a shadow program to become- The Ghost in the Shell, in which her entire body was amputated and her brain placed in a pure cybernetic body.

The role sparked widespread debate some lashed out calling it erasure of Asian Culture. They also strayed off the original comic a bit and closed the ending scene with Scarlett finding her birth mother and confirming she was in fact Motoko.

I love Scarlett- Black Widow especially she nailed that one and so many others,

Ghost in the Shell still has a ton of possibilities for a reboot

She was built on a particular culture, look, style and image. Someone put A LOT of work into her as a project. I think that should be respected.

I am however a new artist, and still in the confidence building phase, whereas I get them to a certain point I like how they look and begin to become afraid to mess them up. Still getting over it- On the plus side, it is indeed fun to go back later and random pick up and try to progress or finish a left-off piece.

(The Japanese Calligraphy translates to “Japanese Mobile Armored Police”. This is what they actually call Ghost in the Shell in Japan, it’s country of origin and is stamped on every one of their comic books.)

For asian calligraphy like this, I verify the script by multiple sources, I print it as seen, I then draw gridded boxes within a sheet of graph paper.

[I use a 1/3 rule dividing the boxes both horizontally and vertically by 1/3 and use those as placement grid to practice a hand sketch. After a few tries I usually get it down and can start looking at doing it on a live drawing I am working on.]

I still need to add this to the actual drawing, it will go on the bottom left corner vertically.

Lemme know what ya think. I’ve only been drawing about 18 months, I grew up on these style comics so it was almost kind of a default when i think of thinks to draw - Love my old throw back characters from my youth..

Ghost in the Shell of course too, was a friggin’ Legacy character!

Harley Quinn Portrait

When I decided to make a run at drawing about a year and a half ago, late 2024, I’d started with a lot of lettering and fonts and 3d-5d geometrical type stuff more a graffiti style.

As i got into it more- I realize the difficulty in drawing people. Inspired by artists like James Raiz, David Finch, Jim Lee, John Nelson, Josh Williams. I took a lot of influence from my personal art heros in the comic and tattoo industry.

Women I have found especially difficult to draw and also found that both of my youth fem-fatales in Jessica Rabbit and Harley Quinn are common and choice starting points.

So here is one of my first attempts at a more realistic and less comic style Harley Quinn modeled off Margot Robbie.

Jessica and Harley,

Two of my favorite fem-fatales, definitely two of the most fun to draw. This was from a few months back I started in an art class. I was still in my comic style phase and still getting comfortable with shading my darks and attempting shadows.

This was a total free-style no reference. I had been drawing both Jessica and Harley for practice for a while.

I like playing with color, so I get to that certain point…

I think they always look best like this displayed in the actual sketch book. I tore most of mine out though to but into a portfolio book.

This below is cleaned up on just a Samsung s8+ filter features playing with contrast and saturation. I don’t like to put digital effects on my work so much. It does clean up very nicely but I also don’t want to get mistaken for the AI prompt guy- I actually spend a lot of time on mine.

Anyways didn’t come out too bad I suppose.. I fit the “Death by Boobs” on it, as it seemed fitting- DEATHBYBOOBS or DEATHBYBEWBS, depending on what app/site games considered appropriate for usernames was one of my main gamer tags for for nearly two decades now, if you have ever played Clash of Clans, Raid: Shadow Legends, Evony Age II, Evony the Kings Return, Survival Last Shelter, or Rise of Kingdoms. That was very likey me .
